Last week I bought some bananas which turned out to be exceedingly unripe. You know...the kind that taste really horrible and chalky. I'd begun peeling one and taken a bite only to spit it out in disgust (just thought you'd like some graphic detail there). Anyway, I really wanted a banana so after a few minutes thought I decided to try cooking it for a bit in the microwave. I cooked it, in the skin (exept for one strip I'd peeled away), on 50% power for two minutes. Guess what? It was great! No chalky taste at all!
