Christer Johansson released!

Christer Johansson, father of Domenic Johansson, the young boy who was taken from his family and put in a foster home over a year ago, was arrested late last year for taking Domenic home, without permission, from a state supervised visit. Under Swedish law this constituted a crime and is punishable with fines or a prison sentence of up to one year.

The first hearing was on December 20th, 2010. The judge, Lagman Mikael Mellqvist, withheld sentencing until Christer had undergone a lengthy forensic psychological analysis. This analysis found Christer psychologically sound. The really interesting thing is that this psychological finding is in direct opposition to the accusations made against Christer by Gotland Social Services during both the December 2009 and September 2010 hearings which were held to determine whether or not Domenic should be returned to his parents or remain a ward of the Swedish state.  Gotland Social Services insisted (and continues to insist) that Christer suffers from a narcissistic disorder. And yet, on the basis of the forensic psychological analysis Christer was released from prison! Read more...

Please keep praying for the Johanssons, that justice will be done and Domenic will be returned to his family. This forensic psychological assessment is a big factor in their favour. Pray that God will use it to bring Domenic home.
